Our board-certified physicians develop life care plans in South Carolina, outlining long-term medical needs, rehabilitation, and lifetime costs with clinical precision to support attorneys handling complex injury cases.
The foundational tenets, methods, and best practices established by the American Academy of Physician Life Care Planners were formally introduced in 2017 through A Physician’s Guide to Life Care Planning: Tenets, Methods, and Best Practices for Physician Life Care Planners.
This peer-reviewed framework is broadly recognized within the field and has been consistently applied in thousands of state and federal cases across the United States.
Education and training in this methodology have been evaluated by the International Commission on Health Care Certification (ICHCC), the organization responsible for administering the Certified Life Care Planner (CLCP™) credential—the most established certification in the profession. The ICHCC also reviews and accepts life care plans developed using this methodology for candidates pursuing CLCP™ certification. In addition, the Commission awards Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to certified professionals who complete approved clinical and methodological training through the American Academy of Physician Life Care Planners.
This methodology is also recognized by the American Medical Association (AMA), in collaboration with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
Physicians who complete this training are eligible to receive the AMA’s highest level of Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits, reflecting the rigor and credibility of the program.
